This past Thursday, I had the pleasure of preaching on Romans 5:1-11 where Paul has just come off of explaining the truth of justification by faith alone in Christ alone (Romans 3:21-4:25). Throughout this section in chapter 5, Paul focuses on three key ideas and blessings that Christians enjoy: faith in Jesus Christ, which then grants us peace with God and grace to sustain us in our daily lives (5:1-2), hope in the glory of God the Father (5:2), and the love of God in Christ (5:6-11) through the Holy Spirit who has been poured out to us (5:5).

In this sermon, I unpack the ideas and realities of faith, hope, and love, and what they mean for the Christian.
